Worship Service

Children's Sunday School

Worship services are Sunday mornings at 10:00 am. We celebrate communion on the first, third and fifth Sunday of the month, and every Sunday during Advent, Christmas, Lent and Easter. Contemplative services are also held Wednesday evenings in Lent, at 7:00 pm.

Our Sunday services generally follow the liturgies in Evangelical Lutheran Worship. We use a variety of musical styles in our worship, and the adult choir, lay ministers and lectors take an active role in leading the liturgy. The congregation are also an active participants through the singing of hymns and Psalms, and in responsive prayers. We strive to provide opportunities for everyone to be as involved in the worship life at St. Luke as they are willing and able to be.

This summer we will be learning the Morning Prayer or Matins service on non-communion Sundays. This order of worship has roots in the early Christian church having been used for daily prayer by Christian communities for centuries. This gives us all the gift of worshipping not only with those of our own congregation, but with all Christians throughout time and place.

Nursery services are provided, and Children's Sunday School is available during the Sunday service for young children.
