About the Artist
Nancy
Keating is a decorative painter, master stitcher and
lifelong artist. One of her specialties is the design
and painting of original needlepoint kneelers for
churches. Nancy's designs were inspired by our stained
glass windows, the joyous use of colors and the
presence of the Holy Spirit represented literally and
figuratively. She designed our kneelers to reflect the
"Cloud of Witnesses" with the Holy Spirit changing the
colors as it moves through each canvas. Not only did
Nancy design our beautiful kneelers, she also stitched
the Adam and Eve kneeler. In addition to St. Luke's
kneelers, she has designed the kneelers for the
Episcopal Church of the Epiphany in Decatur and St.
James Episcopal Church in Marietta.
